As a screen test for her, she was not willing to take an unplanned test and instead took one day to get ready. Then she was a part of three films for Yash Raj Films. She was the wife of a young man of an older man in the movie (the same role that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's "Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The movie received mixed reviews. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh where she played an upper-middle class Punjabi girl who begins her own wedding-planning business. The film received excellent reviews and was deemed an overnight to be a success. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film contract under Yash Raj Films banner was final.
