Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. In her role as Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible covering everything from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the growth and advent of tourism to space. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the space industry and worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She lives with her husband in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
